Mars goes behind moon
Mars goes behind moon
Statesman News Service
BHUBANESWAR, May 8:
In a rare celestial event, planet Mars will be eclipsed by the moon for about an hour on Saturday, 10 May.
On that day, the moon will come directly between the Earth and Mars. The event will be visible everywhere in India including Orissa and can be watched with naked eyes.
Deputy director of city-based Pathani Samanta Planetarium Er Subhendu Pattnaik said that the event will take place after about 7.30 p.m. Indian Standard Time
(IST).
"However, the occultation starting time for the state is about 8.05 p.m. and ending time is around 9.00 p.m. The timing may vary two-three minutes depending on the exact location," he added.
“Around 7.30 p.m., Mars will be visible very close to moon above it. Gradually around 8.05 PM, it will slowly slide behind the moon and disappear within minutes.

Moved threads
I moved some of the older news threads to the basket of the forum. If your looking for certain dated news, check the basket. I'm trying to keep the main forum cleaned up from dated material.
Re: Community Lounge
I'm playing around with the look. Perhaps the other is to dark for some people. However this might be too light for some people. What do ya'll think? It's different!
Re: Community Lounge
Ah, there a few broken topic "wording" if your not logged in. If you log in it goes away!
older news
again, I've moved the older news threads to the "Basket." Just click on Basket and you'll find the news threads.
Topic color change
There has been a new upgrade from my host server: we can now change the topic color. Look to the right of the subject box that says "none (use implicit) and there is where you can change the topic color. I think it's cool.
Tech problems
I've been out of commison these past few days, with ISP and computer problems. It looks like I'm good to go. It couldn't come at a worse time, as I didn't get to finish the ole yeller thread moving. I've very p.oed at that. At least I did get some things moved.
I will be adding more info on the topic threads listed. I just need to get caught up with the Indo news first, and that's going to take sometime.
Thanks to everyone for stopping by and browsing.

cottontop's blog
In light of nothing to translate of late, and still upset about supari's decision, instead of feeling defeated(and I did), I'm trying find Indonesian bloggers who will help us. I'm combing through blogs like crazy and it's frustrating. so I sent out a plea on my blog:
http://cottontopssandbox.wordpress.com
i'm hoping like hell someone will be willing to help.
Also bear with me in keeping this updated. I'm searching a huge data base of Indo blogs.

Re: Community Lounge
Just stopping in to say that I'll be back full force when life settles down some. It's the end of the school year here, and alot of activities going on. Not to mention just life!
I'm still searching the Indo blogs, but have come up empyt handed.
Indo is at it this morning with their PR spin. I will be updating the Indo thread later on today. Think you'll find it interesting.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Happy 4th of July
It's our Independance Day today. I hope that everyone has a safe holiday, and enjoy your down time. Not only should we remember our independance, but also be thankful that we have life as we still know it; no panflu!
Re: Community Lounge
If your've been having a difficult time trying to get someone to understand how important it is to prepare for at least emergency/disaster, never mind a pandemic, I have started a blog aimed at this.
With the economy in tough shape, it's important for people to have some kind of home prep security. I hope some people will pay attention to the reasoning in having home preps. Send them over if they need convincing.
